Job summary

NFI Industries in Joliet, IL is seeking a Distribution Customer Service Representative to handle inquiries, process orders and receipts, and support the warehouse and office teams with prompt, courteous service. The role requires inputting orders, generating stock reports, preparing shipping and tracing information, and maintaining accurate paperwork for each account.

You will coordinate with Traffic and Operations for urgent shipments, verify invoices, and relay customer feedback to management

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent required.
Strong computer knowledge including MS Office applications.
Basic typing skills.
Familiarity with 10-key.
Shipping software systems including UPS and Federal Express.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and potentially holidays.

Responsibilities

Responds to inquiries and complaints regarding work orders, invoices, shipments, and inventory in a courteous manner.
Processes and inputs all customer orders.
Produces stock reports to check product availability.
Prepares shipping and tracing information for customers.
Coordinates special and last-minute shipping requests with Traffic and Operations.
Maintains documentation and files for each order.
Tracks invoicing accuracy and coordinates with accounts as needed.
Communicates customer feedback to management.
