Job summary

Ohio Power Company is seeking a District Center Supervisor NE to oversee the Central Warehouse and its yard. You will supervise staff, direct daily operations, and ensure efficient material handling from receipt through storage to distribution.

You’ll work with a team to optimize manpower, safety, and inventory while coordinating with other departments. A valid CDL and strong supervisory skills are required for this role at our Pataskala facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Four years of experience, including at least two years as a Warehouse Material Handler A or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate automotive equipment.
• Must meet vehicle operation requirements, including obtaining and maintaining a CDL.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise employees and coordinate their work.
• Good working knowledge of material handling and storage procedures and equipment.
• Ability to interact with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct and supervise work and personnel for efficient use of manpower and equipment.
• Supervise receiving, checking, shipping, tagging and storage of materials.
• Oversee rearranging and locating material for efficient operation.
• Manage issuing to and return of material from construction, maintenance and retirement work by operating departments.
• Advise Central Warehouse Supervisor on inventory levels and supply needs.
• Enforce safety practices and participate in training and supervision meetings.
