Job summary

Johnson Controls in Lubbock, TX is seeking a distribution leader for the 1st shift. You will oversee a multi-product distribution system, partnering with Manufacturing, Inventory Control, Purchasing, EH&S and Quality to drive safe, on-time shipments and efficient operations.

This role requires building a high-performance culture, implementing continuous improvement, and aligning local goals with company priorities.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related warehouse experience.
• Commitment to workplace safety and zero-harm.
• Knowledge of transportation systems (parcel, LTL, TL, intermodal, rail, air, water).
• Proven leadership, organization and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead distribution center operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient work.
• Promote a high-performance work environment and engage employees.
• Oversee inbound, outbound, return, and value-added service processes for on-time service.
• Develop metrics to monitor warehouse activity and performance.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver enterprise-wide programs and improvements.
• Manage budgeting, planning and policy development for NDC operations.
