Job summary

The Container Store in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a System Planner to ensure merchandise flows smoothly through the Distribution Center using our Warehouse Management System. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role with the END OF WEEK SHIFT (THURS-FRI 7:00am-7:30pm).

You will plan outbound orders, support inventory and system challenges, assist the slotting team, and maintain Distribution Center operations in line with Container Store standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory systems, retail experience a plus.
• Certification to operate warehouse equipment as needed.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of industry business and trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels.
• Brand ambassador aligning with Container Store values.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes WMS to process product flow within the Distribution Center
• Plans and allocates all Outbound (Store Replenishment and Fulfillment) orders for the day
• Provides support for entire Distribution Center operation about inventory and system challenges
• Assists slotting team with moving inventory for most efficient operations
• Maintains full understanding of Distribution Center logistics
