Job summary

The Container Store in Aberdeen, MD is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our distribution center, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective performance. You will partner with the Management team to meet operational and financial goals and mentor staff toward strong leadership.

This is a full-time, salaried exempt role requiring 2–5 years of supervisory experience, familiarity with WMS and automation, and the ability to balance administrative duties

Qualifications

• 2-5 years supervisor experience preferred.
• Automation, LM and WMS experience preferred.
• Experience managing others including career development, directing and evaluating work.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.
• Flexibility to work additional hours based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Communicates expectations and evaluates distribution operations performance.
• Partner with Manager to develop employees' needs, goals and aspirations.
• Lead to communicate goals and align with daily boards and seasonal objectives.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed by staff.
• Balance administrative duties with floor time and payroll planning.
• Schedule creation, time edits, and collaboration with Managers and Supervisors.
