Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Supervisor of Distribution II to coordinate all aspects of DC operations and support retail store service. You will drive productivity, maintain safety standards, and train non-exempt associates.

The role emphasizes leadership, workflow decisions in the absence of a manager, and adherence to budget and throughput targets within the distribution center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years experience in Distribution Center management.
• Distribution systems preferred.
• Retail Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting & responding to production volume and manpower needs in order to maximize productivity and ensure quality.
• Training, developing & supervising non-exempt associates.
• Promoting and maintaining high associate morale & safety.
• Coaching and counseling associate performance and attendance issues.
• Maintain established through-put standards.
• Meet budget goals and productivity standards.
• Developing and implementing methods and procedures to improve efficiency and safety of operations.
• Maintaining the security of all merchandise and capital equipment in assigned departments.
• Assignment of special projects that relate to the business and/or operations in order to expand knowledge of facility or company.
