Job summary

The Children’s Place Inc. in Fort Payne, Alabama is seeking an Area Lead for the Distribution Center Southeast. You will supervise daily shift activities, mentor associates, and report progress to the Operations Supervisor.

You will ensure safety, productivity, and quality while handling product flow issues and coordinating with supervisors. Responsibilities include training on safety procedures, auditing 5s standards, and maintaining excellent service for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to train and develop others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training in developing associates and teams.
• Strong analytical skills; basic PC skills required; PKMS background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift under guidance of Operations Supervisor.
• Train associates on departmental and company safety procedures.
• Assign tasks and monitor KPIs with Operations Supervisor.
• Mentor associates on productivity, quality, cleanliness, and safety.
• Conduct 5s audits for work stations daily.
• Stand in for Supervisor in operations capacity as needed.
• Coordinate with Supervisor on product flow or shipment issues.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
