Job summary

The Children’s Place Inc. Fort Payne Distribution Center is seeking an Area Lead to guide daily shift operations, mentor teammates, and support the Operations Supervisor with progress updates.

You will address product and freight issues and ensure safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include training associates in departmental procedures, allocating work, tracking KPIs, conducting 5S audits, and standing in for the Supervisor when needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to train and develop others in a warehouse setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Minimum of one year related experience with leading teams.
• Strong analytical skills and PC proficiency.
• Experience with PKMS preferred

Responsibilities

• Train associates in departmental and safety procedures.
• Oversee shift with supervisor guidance and KPI follow-up.
• Allocate work and manage administrative tasks.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and safety.
• Conduct 5S audits of workstations daily.
• Stand in for supervisor when needed.
• Coordinate with supervisor on product flow and shipping.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
