DHL eCommerce is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage mail/parcel handling in our Distribution Center. You will assign and review work, oversee staffing, coach staff, and ensure safety and production targets are met.

Key duties include supervising packaging, quality, and transport processes, driving efficiency, and coordinating with HR and postal clerks. A strong background in logistics, 5S, and KPI monitoring is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of external supervisory experience or 1 year DHL eCommerce Operations Trainer/Quality experience
• 2 years' experience in a distribution/mail/ or similar environment
• Knowledge of operations quality and safety programs
• Understanding of Small Parcel Logistics
• Experience in process improvement tools such as 5S
• Experience supervising and driving improved production standards and automation utilization

Responsibilities

• Assign work, set completion dates, and manage performance per policies
• Supervise mail/parcel processing, quality, and transportation to optimize quality and profitability
• Foster teamwork, empowerment, fairness, and consistency
• Ensure proper staffing by department and shift based on volume
• Conduct performance reviews and train direct employees
• Monitor equipment and ensure production standards are met
• Support development of the Distribution Center Business Plan while maintaining cost and quality
• Review KPI and quality reports and take corrective action as needed
• Recommend production method improvements and increased efficiencies
• Oversee safety activities and training per DHL safety policy
• Assist HRBP in recruitment and interviews
• Liaise with on-site postal clerks and monitor rate/regulatory changes
• Perform other duties as assigned
