Job summary

DHL eCommerce is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Massachusetts to manage the day-to-day mail/small parcel handling, staffing, and performance within the distribution center. You will ensure processes meet customer requirements and safety standards while driving efficiency and cost control.

The role requires leadership, coaching, and strong analytical skills to review KPI data, optimize workflows, and implement improvements in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Understanding of Small Parcel Logistics is beneficial.
• Knowledge of and experience in improving operations quality and safety programs.
• Experience with process improvement tools (e.g., 5S).
• Demonstrated success supervising and driving improved production standards and automation.

Responsibilities

• Assign work, set completion dates, review work and manage performance.
• Supervise mail/parcel processing, quality, and transportation per DHL eCommerce policies.
• Foster teamwork, empowerment, fairness and consistency.
• Ensure proper staffing per department and shift and monitor attendance/time.
• Conduct performance reviews and coach direct employees.
• Monitor equipment and ensure production standards are met.
• Support development and execution of the Distribution Center plan while controlling costs.
• Review KPI and quality reports to meet targets and improve as needed.
• Suggest improvements to production methods and working conditions.
• Oversee safety programs and trainings per DHL policy.
