Job summary

Amarr, part of the ASSA ABLOY group, is seeking an Assistant Distribution Center Manager to lead a hands-on team in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on directing daily warehouse operations, scheduling, and ensuring safety, quality, and service targets are met.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years supervising a distribution center, strong communication, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of distribution center/warehouse supervisory experience.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement activities strongly preferred.
• Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
• College education or related experience.
• Organizational, time management and analytical skills.
• Good supervisory, leadership and motivational skills.
• Mechanical aptitude / power tools.
• Must be able to clear background/drug/MVR screenings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assembly, work schedules (including temporary personnel), and warehouse operations to ensure service leads are met.
• Establish and enforce operational procedures for verification of incoming/outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and inventory control.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and a safe, injury-free workplace.
• Oversee hourly warehouse staff from hiring to termination, including staffing, development, supervision, and direction.
