Job summary

Van Meter Inc. seeks a Commodities Supervisor to lead distribution center operations, manage the department budget and ensure projects stay on time and within budget.

You will guide teams, promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and work with cross-functional partners to optimize processes across locations. You will supervise daily schedules, train new team members, and analyze reports to drive improvements while maintaining high customer service standards and a focus on accuracy

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Two-year degree preferred.
• Experience in distribution center leadership is preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs; forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Oversee daily operations and production schedule.
• Analyze daily reports and metrics to identify opportunities.
• Ensure accuracy of customer orders and product returns.
• Drive safety initiatives and ensure compliance.
