Job summary

Van Meter is seeking a Distribution Center Team Member to support shipping, picking or receiving functions in our distribution center. You will work with team members and leads to process products accurately while upholding safety and our culture.

You will follow safety policies, operate RF scanners and forklifts if trained, assist in maintaining stock levels, and contribute to continuous process improvements. The role requires teamwork, reliability and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous distribution experience preferred.
• Demonstrated computer skills required.
• Ability to lift 70lbs on a consistent basis; lift up to 100lbs occasionally.
• Knowledge of handheld RF scanner is a plus.
• Forklift operating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Eclipse preferred.
• Ability to work an extended shift to complete work tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives.
• Process orders with an RF gun or scanner, motorized cart and/or fork lift in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Provide feedback on adequate stock levels.
• Assist in maintaining distribution center cleanliness and order.
• Cross-train in other departments of the distribution center.
• Support team members by participating in team lifts.
• Participate in distribution center process improvements.
• Provide coverage in areas of the distribution center in which staffing is low and work level is high.
