Job summary

Almo Corporation in Reno, NV seeks a Distribution Center Lead to oversee day-to-day operations of a warehouse team, guide training, SOP adherence, and on-the-floor coaching to improve performance.

You will drive safety, quality, and productivity, propose process improvements, and extract data from AS400 to support operations; you will coordinate with the Distribution Center Supervisor on priorities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of warehouse experience including forklift skills and loading/unloading.
• Strong problem-solving, decision making, prioritization and critical thinking skills.
• Full understanding of department workflow and staffing; ability to manage production workflow.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily hands-on support and direction for the team in warehouse duties and SOP education.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve performance.
• Drive safety, quality, and productivity goals in line with leadership objectives.
• Pull data and generate reports from AS400 as needed.

Position Summary

The Distribution Center Lead executes and facilitates the day-to-day functions and workload of a specific DC functional team. Acts as technical go-to for SOPs, safety, efficiency and operations for a specific team.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Provide daily hands‑on support and direction for the team in their general warehouse duties, in training, onboarding and SOP education/adherence and ongoing coaching and mentoring to develop team members.
• Drive compliance with safety, quality and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives.
• Provide recommendations on process improvement and assist in implementation.
• Pull data and run reports from AS400 as needed.
• Other duties/projects as required by Distribution Center Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• 3–5 years of warehouse experience including forklift skills, warehouse handling and organization, truck loading and unloading.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving, decision making, prioritization and critical thinking skills.
• Full understanding of all aspects of the department (workflow, staffing) / ability to manage production workflow.
• Well organized, detail oriented, and able to meet scheduled deadlines; able to prioritize work from multiple sources & adjust to fluctuating workload.
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to take charge and get things done.

Additional Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities

• Able to lift/push/move 50 lbs.
• Able to operate forklift and clamp truck.
