Job summary

Solventum in Forest City, IA, seeks a Distribution Center Director to lead all DC operations, ensuring safety, compliance, reliability, and cost efficiency while delivering outstanding customer service. You will develop frontline and salaried leaders, partner across planning, transportation, quality, EHS, IT and finance, and drive continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and 10 years of combined experience in supply planning, warehousing, transportation, inventory/materials control, and import/export.
• High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and 14 years of combined experience in supply planning, warehousing, transportation, inventory/materials control, and import/export
• Three (3) years of direct supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of distribution center operations, ensuring safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective execution of inbound, outbound, inventory control, and material flow activities.
• Drive site performance across safety, quality, service, inventory accuracy, productivity, compliance, and customer delivery metrics.
• Develop frontline and salaried leaders while fostering accountability, inclusion, engagement, talent growth, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with planning, transportation, customer operations, quality, EHS, IT, finance, procurement, and third-party providers to ensure seamless distribution execution and service excellence.
• Manage site budgets, labor planning, staffing models, resource utilization, and productivity initiatives to achieve operational and financial objectives.
• Implement performance governance through KPIs, operating reviews, problem-solving methodologies, and tiered accountability processes to drive sustainable results.
• Champion continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma, automation, process optimization, and strategic business reviews.
