Job summary

Solventum in Forest City, IA, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily distribution center activities, focusing on inbound/outbound flow, safety and cost control.

You will develop labor, equipment and space plans, drive continuous improvement, coach supervisors, and partner with logistics to deliver on performance targets while maintaining high standards of compliance and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and seven (7) years of supply chain, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and/or operations experience.
• OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and eleven (11) years of supply chain, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and/or operations experience.
• Direct supervisory experience.
• Project implementation / project management experience.
• Experience applying Lean principles, standard work, visual management, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily distribution center operations, inbound/outbound, material flow, and warehouse activities to meet safety, service, quality, cost, and productivity objectives.
• Develop and execute labor, equipment, space, and capacity plans to support operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, regulatory, transportation, import/export, security, and product handling requirements.
• Monitor and improve operational metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
