Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Accounting Manager to lead end-to-end accounting, close, reporting, and controls for DC operations. You will collaborate with operations and leadership to drive accuracy, compliance, and data-driven decisions in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong GAAP knowledge, and ability to translate financial results into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience preferred in distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or retail.
• Experience in people management or team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and period-end close processes.
• Understanding of inventory systems and warehouse cost structures.
• Advanced analytical skills with ability to translate data into insights.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate, timely preparation of financial records per GAAP.
• Manage period-end close and GL reviews.
• Monitor ledger activity and resolve posting issues.
• Support forecasts and provide analytic insights to Controller.
• Establish internal controls and safeguard assets.
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.
