Job summary

Expeditors International, a global logistics leader, is seeking a customer service associate to ensure efficient daily operation of all distribution accounts. You will process orders, generate reports, and liaise between warehouse and customers on invoicing and credit information.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of related experience, strong organizational skills, and a service-oriented attitude. Local candidates in Humble, TX may enjoy on-site work with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding transportation process of all models is a plus.
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).
• Meet company training standard of 52 hours per year including leadership training.

Responsibilities

• Process and input customer orders and distribution accounts daily.
• Provide accurate, timely operational reports.
• Prepare paperwork for work orders and post inventory records.
• Conduct data entry for receiving, order allocation, shipping, and inventory management.
• Bill domestic transportation costs and oversee invoicing information.
• Track orders and notify customers about status.
• Maintain damage records and backorder logs.
• Support warehouse staff with documents for receiving and shipping.

Job Description

Scope of Position:

To provide an exceptional customer service to customers to ensure efficient daily operation of all distribution accounts.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily process and input of all customer orders and distribution accounts.
• Provide daily operational reports that are accurate and timely.
• Generate all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work orders, checks all orders for special requests and posts inventory records.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry for receiving, order allocation, shipping and inventory management.
• Rate domestic transportation bills.
• Trace orders as required and notify customers of activity concerning their order.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendors billing.
• Maintain damage records and backorder logs.
• Provide warehouse staff with necessary documents and information needed to complete receiving, and to ship orders.
• Act as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer in administration of accounts and between the office and customer regarding invoicing and credit information.
• Contribute to maintain strong relationships with vendors (trucking companies, and others).
• Provide support with other miscellaneous projects, filing and research
• Compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies / requirement.
• Escalation of problems to Management when necessary.

Qualifications
