Job summary

The Florida Department of Health is seeking a DISTRIBUTED COMPUTER SYSTEMS SPECIALIST to manage helpdesk requests, troubleshoot incidents, and perform remote and onsite support for DOH sites across Florida.

You will install and configure distributed systems, manage user accounts in Active Directory, HMS, Florida SHOTS, and eProgress, monitor hardware, and maintain inventory while following DOH security policies.

Qualifications

• Six or more months of experience working with computers and electronics.
• One or more years of experience providing customer or personal services.
• Valid Florida Driver’s license. If out of state, Florida license required within 30 days of hire.
• One or more years of Information Technology helpdesk experience (preferred).
• One or more years of experience supporting Windows 10/11 in an Active Directory environment.
• Two or more years of experience providing customer or personal services.

Responsibilities

• Receives helpdesk requests; creates tickets and triages/executes resolutions.
• Installs and maintains distributed computer systems hardware/software and monitors health.
• Configures operating systems, applications, and services with integrations.
• Provides onsite support for unresolved issues at DOH sites as needed.
• Manages user accounts, security groups, and permissions across systems per least privilege.
• Maintains inventory of networked hardware and software.
