Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking an experienced Distributed Systems Engineer for the Analytical Database Platform. You will contribute to a high-performance, scalable ClickHouse-based analytics engine used to provide real-time visibility into customer data across Cloudflare’s products.

You will develop platform components, expand clusters, optimize performance, and partner with internal teams and the ClickHouse community to push the engine forward.

Qualifications

• Proficient in distributed systems, databases, and SQL.
• Strong coding skills in Go, Python, or C++.
• Solid CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, concurrency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new platform components for the Cloudflare Analytical Database Platform.
• Add more database clusters to handle data growth.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot cluster performance and reliability.
• Optimize query performance and data ingestion processes.
• Collaborate with ClickHouse community and Cloudflare teams to enhance features.
• Engage with various teams to meet data needs and enable data-driven decisions.
• Contribute to next-gen DB platform engine with new tech explorations.
