Cloudflare is actively seeking experienced distributed systems engineers to join our Data Organisation. You will work on a high-scale logging platform, data pipelines, and analytics tools that power real-time visibility into logs, metrics, and security for Cloudflare’s global properties.

The role emphasizes Go development, high performance systems, and collaboration with multiple teams to deliver reliable data integrations and insights.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go and familiarity with modern software engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong SQL knowledge and query optimization.
• Proven ability to work across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with data streaming (Kafka) and logging platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate a robust logging platform and data connectors for customer destinations.
• Scale and optimize the data delivery pipeline for massive data volumes with low latency.
• Develop and maintain audit logs and ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate with Product and other engineering teams to define requirements for new logging platforms and integrations.
• Maintain operational health and participate in on-call rotation.
