Job summary

ClickHouse is building a cloud-native, serverless database platform on public cloud. You will work on an in-house Kubernetes operator to streamline infrastructure management and collaborate with the core development teams to advance distributed infrastructure.

You will optimize the metrics pipeline and data processing workflows, leveraging Go, C++, or Java, with focus on fault tolerance and scalability across multiple regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience building scalable distributed systems.
• Production experience with Go, C++, or Java in cloud environments.
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infra services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cloud-native, serverless ClickHouse platform on public cloud.
• Contribute to in-house Kubernetes operator for infrastructure management.
• Improve metrics pipelines and build systems for better statistics and recommendations.
• Collaborate with core development and data plane teams on infra use cases.

Job description

• The Cloud Scaling team is dedicated to implementing robust capabilities within the ClickHouse cloud environment. We seek exceptional software engineers to develop and maintain the infrastructure to transform ClickHouse into a fully functional serverless database solution
• Collaborating closely with the core database team, we are actively working on evolving ClickHouse into a cloud-native database system. Additionally, we engage with other cloud teams to drive continuous improvements in cloud infrastructure for enhanced performance and scalability
• Build a cutting-edge cloud-native database platform on top of the public cloud
• Work on our in-house Kubernetes operator to support seamless infrastructure management
• Improve the metrics pipeline and build systems to generate better statistics and recommendations
• Work closely with our ClickHouse core development team and other data plane teams, partnering with them to support infrastructure use cases as well as other internal infrastructure improvements
• Architecting and building a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure
