Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Corporate Trust Default Director to lead a team of relationship managers and default review analysts in managing complex defaulted corporate and municipal transactions. You will drive risk-based decisions, mentor staff, and work with senior leaders to advance risk controls and operational excellence.

Location expectations require working from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week, with responsibility for governance, risk management, and executive engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Corporate Trust experience with default administration, restructurings, bankruptcies, disputes, and risk management.
• 3+ leadership experience managing or leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk oversight for a portfolio of complex defaulted and distressed Corporate Trust transactions.
• Establish governance processes for identification, escalation, monitoring, and mitigation of risks.
• Review and guide default management strategies for restructuring, bankruptcy, workouts, disputes, and enforcement.
• Provide guidance on trust indentures, transaction documents, and governing agreements.
• Lead and develop a team of Default Relationship Managers to manage distressed relationships.
