Job summary

Ponaganset High School in Glocester, Rhode Island is seeking an enthusiastic Co-Ed Outdoor Track & Field Assistant Coach for Distance events. Qualifications

• Experience coaching adolescent age students in competitive sports.
• Current and valid First Aid/CPR/AED certificate.
• NFHS coaching courses completed or substantially equivalent qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants, small groups and teams as appropriate.
• Supervises individual team members and teams at all times.
• Knows and implements current rules, RI Interscholastic League Regulations, and district policies.
• Monitors academic performance and stresses the importance of academics and leadership.
• Demonstrates sportsmanship and acts as a role model under stress.
• Schedules practices and games with the Athletic Director and other coaches.
• Informs Athletic Director about facility, equipment, and safety matters.
• Delegates coaching responsibilities to assistants and volunteers.
• Performs other duties as defined by the athletic director and principal.
