Job summary

South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking staff to support classroom instruction and collaborate with teachers to ensure an effective learning environment for youth across the state.

The role focuses on reviewing lesson content, delivering instruction via distance platforms where applicable, and maintaining clear communication with students and staff while following district and agency policies.

Qualifications

• State minimum: high school diploma and experience in education or administration.
• Knowledge of PowerSchool preferred.
• Ability to maintain discipline in a group.
• Clear oral and written communication abilities.
• Experience working with computers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and implements lesson content as provided by TORs to improve content knowledge.
• Delivers content via distance learning platforms where applicable.
• Maintains communication with students, TORs and staff within instructional platforms.
• Demonstrates proficiency with district-endorsed instructional apps and LMS.
• Adheres to school, agency, state and federal policies; performs related duties as required.
