Job summary

The role involves delivering lessons across multiple education sites, maintaining clear communication with staff, and supporting DJJ’s mission of transforming youth lives.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree, SC teaching certification, and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and state teaching certification.
• Must possess S.C. teacher certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations; ability to plan and implement lessons.

Responsibilities

• Prepares lesson content and instructional activities to improve students’ content knowledge and mastery of skills.
• Delivers instruction across multiple sites using approved platforms, ensuring accessibility in the least restrictive environment.
• Establishes clear communication with students, site facilitators, and all personnel.
• Supports the mission and vision of the School District and the Agency.
• Maintains professionalism and adheres to policies and procedures.
• Performs related duties as required.
