Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking an instructional support position to assist in classroom settings and distance learning delivery. The role emphasizes collaboration with Teachers of Record to ensure effective instruction for each student.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and experience in education or general administration.
• Ability to maintain discipline in a group situation.
• Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely in oral and written form.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and implements lesson content and instructional activities as provided by TORs to improve students’ content knowledge.
• Engages in best practices to deliver content via distance learning platforms, where applicable.
• Establishes clear communication with students, TORs, and staff within the learning platform.
• Demonstrates technology proficiency with district-approved instructional apps and LMS.
