Job summary

Popa Federal Credit Union in Cerritos is seeking a Dispute and E-Services Support Specialist to investigate, process, and resolve member transaction disputes in line with regulations and network rules.

You'll serve as a subject matter expert on disputes, providing exceptional member service while protecting the Credit Union from losses. Non-Exempt, on-site role with detailed procedural responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a financial institution.
• Minimum of one (1) year in card services, fraud investigations, chargebacks, or dispute resolution preferred.
• Ability to balance Credit Union and member interests with sound judgment.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process fraud and merchant disputes with required documentation.
• Analyze transaction details and activity to determine dispute validity.
• Investigate disputes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide members with dispute status and rights information.
• Ensure compliance with Regulation E, Z, Visa, Mastercard, and network rules.
• Assist with CUMIS bond claim filings for eligible disputes.
• Maintain dispute case files and respond within timeframes.
• Issue provisional and final credits/debits per procedures.
• Communicate with staff, members, and authorities as needed.
• Identify fraud trends and suggest prevention measures.
