Job summary

Prellis Biologics, Inc. in Berkeley, CA, seeks a Principal Associate Scientist/Scientist for Display Platforms & Directed Evolution to lead antibody discovery campaigns across yeast, phage, mammalian, and other formats, and to collaborate with Data Science on ML-designed variants.

You will design diversity libraries, scale screening, and advance lead molecules through affinity maturation, with cross-functional teamwork in High Throughput Discovery.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with 2+ years in industry in molecular/cell biology or related field.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying display platforms for antibody discovery.
• Experience designing and constructing diversity libraries for engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead display and directed evolution campaigns across platforms for hit discovery and maturation.
• Design and source diversity libraries in collaboration with computational and program teams.
• Screen against challenging targets and scale automation to accelerate campaigns.
• Collaborate with Data Science on ML-designed variants and hit-to-lead workflows.
• Work with Antibody Protein Engineering on lead optimization campaigns.
• Evaluate new display platforms and methods; drive downstream characterization.
