Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join an Antibody Discovery team supporting the next generation of biologic candidates. This is a full-time, on-site role for a scientist with strong hands-on experience in yeast display and in vitro antibody discovery, as well as the ability to collaborate across functions in a fast-paced research environment.

The ideal candidate has experience optimizing yeast-display discovery platforms, designing and building antibody libraries, and conducting in vitro display campaigns to identify and optimize novel therapeutic hits. This role is suited for someone who is technically strong, highly organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a matrixed research team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform yeast display-based discovery screens to support new and ongoing therapeutic programs.
  • Use NGS for library generation, QC, sequencing, and data analysis to support hit selection.
  • Execute display-based lead optimization, including design, construction, QC, and screening of new display libraries.
  • Review scientific data in real time and adjust experiments as needed to support discovery campaigns.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to prioritize critical experiments and advance discovery programs.
  • Participate in group and departmental meetings and present data as needed.
  • Maintain laboratory operations, including equipment, inventories, reagents, and supplies.
  • Contribute to experiment design, data analysis, interpretation, reporting, and record keeping.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field with at least 3 years of post-graduate laboratory experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with yeast display, including building naïve and/or immunized libraries.
  • Experience with antibody lead optimization, including affinity, potency, and developability enhancement.
  • Expertise in molecular cloning and DNA analysis software such as Geneious Prime, Sequencher, or similar tools.
  • Experience with NGS technology, including library generation, QC, sequencing, and sequence analysis.
  • Strong understanding of antibody structure, function, and engineering.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scientific data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/ML sequence analysis.
  • Experience with high-throughput screening and liquid handling automation.
  • Familiarity with Benchling or another electronic notebook system.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with changing priorities.
