Job summary

URBN Urban Outfitters, Inc. is seeking a Display Artist at our Virginia Beach location. You will collaborate with the Visual Merchandising Manager to craft two- and three-dimensional displays that reflect discovery, creativity, diversity, and authenticity.

A portfolio or work samples are required for consideration. You will lead display initiatives on the sales floor, mentor team members, and contribute to planning while adhering to seasonal direction and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Partners with the Visual Merchandising Manager to create an engaging visual experience that appeals to the Anthro customer and represents relevant trends in art, design, culture, architecture, and fashion.
• Demonstrates awareness of the impact of display and merchandising on store sales and profitability.
• Engages customers through display work on the sales floor and drives community connection through workshops and events.
• Mentors the team by training visual expectations and materials/tool management; attends store meetings to share inspiration and information.
• Takes initiative with each project to grow display experience and elevate craft; supports in identifying and training future display talent.
• Collaborates in display planning by sharing inspiration, generating ideas, and sketching; maintains timelines within budget.
