Per Diem Dispensing Nurse – LPN/LVN

MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team, collaborating with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The dispensing nurse is also responsible for maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory, and reporting patient treatment information.

An ideal candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and maintains a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals with Substance Use Disorder.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Administer daily medication to patients according to program policies and medical protocols, including Methadone and Suboxone.
• Operate and calibrate automated dispensing systems, maintain dispensing equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required by company protocol and regulations.
• Ensure security standards for controlled substances are followed, in accordance with federal regulations.
• Order, receive, and stock medications following DEA and state regulations (if granted Power of Attorney).
• Provide daily assessments of patients.
• Assist Nursing Supervisor in orienting new staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid LPN/LVN license in Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in EMR and computer use preferred.
• Experience in chemical dependency treatment is a plus; candidate should be self-motivated with a positive attitude towards individuals in substance abuse treatment.
• Satisfactory drug screening and criminal background check.
