Description

Per Diem Dispensing Nurse - LPN/LVN
MedMark Treatment Center
is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team in collaboration with physicians and nursing supervisors. The dispensing nurse will also be responsible for maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory, and reporting patient treatment information.

An ideal candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward individuals with Substance Use Disorder.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily medication to patients following program policies and medical protocols.
  • Operate automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as per company protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards for controlled substances as per federal regulations.
  • Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and state regulations (if granted Power of Attorney).
  • Provide daily assessments of patients.
  • Assist Nursing Supervisor in orienting new nursing staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid LPN/LVN license in Pennsylvania.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Proficiency in EMR and computer systems preferred.
  • Experience in chemical dependency treatment preferred; self-motivated with a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.
  • Satisfactory drug screening and criminal background check.
