Job summary

Pico Propane, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a motivated Dispenser to support daily plant operations. Under direct supervision, you will fill and inspect propane tanks, move materials, dispense fuel to customers, and maintain an organized, safe warehouse.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading tanks, assisting with customer inquiries, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two years of customer service experience.
• Experience in high-volume phone settings is preferred.
• Experience in oil and propane industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, and refill propane tanks.
• Perform tank service and valve changes as needed.
• Safely load, unload, and move tanks and materials around the plant.
• Dispense fuel to customers and provide in-person service.
• Assist with orders and communicate questions to staff.

Job Summary

Pico Propane, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a motivated Dispenser to support daily operations at the plant. Under direct supervision, this role handles a variety of hands‑on tasks, including filling and inspecting propane tanks, moving materials, dispensing fuel to customers, and keeping the warehouse organized and safe.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, and refill empty propane tanks
• Perform inspection and service on tanks as needed, including changing valves
• Safely load, unload, and move tanks and materials around the plant and warehouse
• Dispense fuel to customers and provide excellent in‑person customer service
• Interact with customers by phone or in person to provide support and product information, serving as a liaison between customers and the company
• Assist as needed with collecting and entering orders for new or additional products or services
• Forward customer questions and complaints to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff
• Keep the warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all timesFollow position‑specific processes and procedures
• Perform other general duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience
• Experience in high‑volume phone call settings (preferred)
• Experience in the oil and propane industry (preferred)

Skills/Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Service‑oriented, with the ability to resolve customer concerns professionally
• Proficient with the current Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn and use new tools and software as needed

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout a shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed to safely assist with duties around the plant
• Must pass pre‑employment screening and background check
