Job summary

Pico Propane, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a motivated Dispenser to support daily plant operations. You will fill, inspect, and dispense propane, interact with customers, and help keep the warehouse safe and organized.

Two years of customer service experience and a high school diploma are preferred. The role requires safety compliance and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of customer service experience.
• Experience in high-volume phone call settings preferred.
• Experience in the oil and propane industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill, inspect, and refill propane tanks as needed.
• Dispense fuel to customers and provide in-person service.
• Move tanks and materials safely around plant and warehouse.
• Keep warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with entering orders for new or additional products.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.

Under direct supervision, this role handles a variety of hands-on tasks, including filling and inspecting propane tanks, moving materials, dispensing fuel to customers, and keeping the warehouse organized and safe.Duties/Responsibilities:Clean, inspect, and refill empty propane tanksPerform inspection and service on tanks as needed, including changing valvesSafely load, unload, and move tanks and materials around the plant and warehouseDispense fuel to customers and provide excellent in-person customer serviceInteract with customers by phone or in person to provide support and product information, serving as a liaison between customers and the companyAssist as needed with collecting and entering orders for new or additional products or servicesForward customer questions and complaints to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staffKeep the warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and safeFollow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all timesFollow position-specific processes and proceduresPerform other general duties as assignedThe absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Minimum two (2) years of customer service experienceExperience in high-volume phone call settings (preferred)Experience in the oil and propane industry (preferred)Skills/Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skillsService-oriented, with the ability to resolve customer concerns professionallyProficient with the current Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn and use new tools and software as neededPhysical Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout a shiftMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed to safely assist with duties around the plantMust pass pre-employment screening and background checkThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work that is expected to be performed.
