Job summary

Ratp in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Entry Level Dispatcher to join our operations control team. The role supports our bus operations by assessing requests and providing immediate solutions to maintain on-time service.

Requirements include at least two years of work experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. We offer vacation, health benefits, and a 401(k) retirement plan as part of our benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of general work experience, including driving and customer service.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Licensed driver for at least two (2) years.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
• Problem-solving, conflict resolutions and analytical abilities.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• No criminal convictions or DWI, DUI, assault, or possession.
• Must be able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with routing specialists and schedulers to optimize routes.
• Dispatch drivers using client information and reservation systems.
• Review and respond to incoming calls, confirm details and reserve two weeks out.
• Discuss client availability for online reservations.
• Field calls for same-day requests, ensure availability and check routes.
• Initiate outbound calls to city connect and access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pickup problems to prevent service issues.
• Coordinate driver movements to cover missed pickups.
• Assist in determining daily driver staffing for optimal productivity.
• Prefer experience with Ecolane and/or ParaTransit.
