Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate the dispatch function with sales, shipping, receiving, customers and logistics operations. You will prepare invoices, plan routes, assign drivers, and ensure deliveries are made on time.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of related experience, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong math and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices, delivery tickets and shipping documents.
• Plan delivery routes and assign drivers for scheduled deliveries.
• Coordinate with customer service on product availability and logistics issues.
• Take orders from customers and ensure on-time dispatch.
• Inspect shipping department equipment for operational status.
• Review orders against delivery tickets before shipping.
• Coordinate deliveries with company and external drivers for timely delivery.
• Work with independent truck drivers to ensure loads are secure and on-time.
• Prepare loading/unloading and daily shipping reports.
• Submit daily invoicing to Accounts Payable after dispatch.
