Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate the dispatch function, working with sales, shipping, receiving, customers and logistics operations. You will prepare invoices, plan routes, assign drivers, and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining records and communicating with customers.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook proficiency.
• Excellent mathematical and communication skills.
• May require lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing and pulling.
• Walking and standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices, delivery tickets and shipping documents.
• Plan delivery routes and assign drivers for deliveries.
• Coordinate with customer service to understand product availability and logistics issues.
• Take orders from customers and ensure on-time dispatch.
• Inspect shipping department equipment for proper operation.
• Review orders before shipment against delivery tickets.
• Coordinate deliveries with company drivers and external trucking companies.
• Coordinate with independent drivers to ensure pickup and delivery times, load weight compliance and secure loads.
• Prepare and review loading/unloading, shipping reports and delivery logs.
• Submit daily invoicing to accounts payable after dispatch.
• Perform other duties as needed.

GardenCore is seeking a Dispatcher that will be responsible for the dispatch function, coordinating with sales department, shipping, receiving, customer, delivery truck services and the logistics operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices, delivery tickets and related shipping documents
• Plan effective delivery routes and assign drivers for scheduled deliveries
• Work closely with customer service to understand the product availability and logistic issues of specific projects
• Take orders from customers and get their order out on time
• Inspect all shipping department equipment to ensure that they are in working order
• Check and review all orders assigned before they are shipped against delivery tickets
• Coordinate deliveries with company truck drivers and external trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of materials to customers
• Work closely with independent truck drivers to ensure pick-up and delivery times, load weight compliance and secure loads
• Prepare and review loading/unloading, daily shipping reports and delivery logs
• Submit daily invoicing to A/P once deliveries are dispatched
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience in related function
• At least 1 year of related experience
• Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Excellent mathematical and communication skills

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $20.00 - $21.50 per hour
