Job description

Answer the Call – Join the Roseville Police Department as a Dispatcher II.

Dispatchers play a vital role in public safety, serving as the first point of contact for first responders and as a line of communication between the community and public safety agencies. As a dispatcher, you’ll handle law enforcement, fire, and medical emergency calls, often providing life‑saving instructions and a sense of calm until additional resources arrive. You’ll also provide non‑emergency assistance, including dispatching animal control and support for water, sewer, electric utility, and street maintenance services. Minimum Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing duties similar to Dispatcher I with the City of Roseville.
• Completion of the twelfth‑grade GED or higher level degree.
• Valid California driver’s license (if required by position at appointment).
• Must obtain a California P.O.S.T. Public Safety Dispatcher Basic Certificate within one year of appointment.
• Must obtain National Academy of Emergency Dispatch (NAEMD) Emergency Medical Dispatch Certificate within one year of appointment.
