Job summary

The Kenan Advantage Group in Springfield, MO is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator responsible for executing daily freight movement plans within an assigned area. You will oversee scheduling, coordinate with drivers, and ensure timely deliveries for retail gas outlets.

Responsibilities include receiving orders from suppliers, monitoring communications, and providing frontline customer service. The role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills and a willingness to work a 6p–6a schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries.
• Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers.
• Plan deliveries to inventory-managed retail gas outlets.
• Receive orders from suppliers, gas station dealers, and renewable fuels distributors.
• Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts.
• Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
• Monitor e-mail for incoming orders, inventory updates, and communication between team members.
• Monitor web portals for station inventories.
• Solicit freight from customers.
• Create loads in dispatch system.
• Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members.
• Enter incidents into KITS (incident reporting system).
• On-call duties as needed.
