Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing orders with sales staff and customers.

• Ensure orders are accurate and timely.
• Operate truck scales and related documents.
• Prepare and manage bills of lading and hazardous material shipping docs.
• Receive inquiries via phone and email and respond professionally.
• Give clear verbal and written instructions to customers and staff.
• Track inventory levels in warehouse and bulk storage.
• Calculate product quantities by weight or volume.
• Provide customer service support as needed.
• Assist other dispatchers as needed and answer phones.
• Assign and monitor drivers on routes.

JOB SUMMARY:

Dispatcher is responsible for, but not limited to, coordinating product shipments and transfers to various customers and their locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with sales staff and customers to coordinate purchasing orders
• Receive, process, and prepare orders for pickup or delivery
• Coordinate product transfers between locations
• Coordinate shipments via trucking companies
• Provide load requirement information to all drivers
• Complete orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Operate truck scales
• Complete weight tags, bills of lading, and hazardous material shipping documents
• Receive product-order inquiries via phone and email
• Provide direction and instructions (verbal and written) to customers and employees
• Track and maintain inventory of products stored in warehouse and in bulk storage
• Calculate total quantities of product by weight and/or volumetric measurements
• Perform customer service duties as needed by responding to calls and visitors in a professional manner
• Provide backup and assistance to other dispatchers/employees by answering phones as needed
• Assign and monitor drivers throughout routes
• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma
• 1+ year of experience of agriculture fertilizer and pesticides
• 1+ years of experience working as a Dispatcher or in a similar capacity

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing, walking, climbing stairs
• Finger mobility and grasping
• Twisting, bending, stooping and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
