Job summary

Ohio CAT Rental Store, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., seeks a dispatcher to coordinate high-volume delivery/pick-up of rental equipment and oversee the Cat Rental Store fleet routing. You will plan time-sensitive deliveries, manage permits, track logs and inspections, and ensure DOT compliance for drivers.

You will also quote deliveries, code freight invoices, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to optimize operations across local and national routes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years’ experience in equipment or trucking preferred or equivalent experience in trucking required.
• Three years’ experience dispatching delivery drivers required.
• Knowledge of oversized load permit rules and regulations required.
• Knowledge of GPS technology is a plus.
• Previous leadership experience is a plus.
• Familiar with MS365 and Windows applications as well as iOS mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch vehicles for high-volume delivery/pick-up of rental equipment.
• Monitor driver routing for efficiency.
• Plan for time-sensitive deliveries and pickups.
• Oversee permits for deliveries and pickups.
• Track driver logs and pre-trip inspections.
• Ensure DOT compliance and maintain medical cards/CDLs.
• Quote deliveries and pickups locally and nationally.
• Code outside freight invoices and forward to AP.
