Job summary

Grammer Logistics is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate drivers, equipment, and routes for bulk tanker operations, with a strong emphasis on safety, dependability, and customer service. You will monitor loads, assign work, communicate with customers, and use automated tracking software to ensure timely deliveries and compliance with Hours of Service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in transportation industry, familiarity with DOT and FMCR preferred.
• Samsara and McLeod familiarity preferred; strong customer service and problem-resolution skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Execute customer orders from receipt through delivery by building loads, assigning drivers/equipment, and determining most efficient routes.
• Monitor driver and vehicle performance en route using tracking software; address route issues and Hours of Service constraints.
• Update customers on order status and potential issues; generate required documentation for inbound/outbound movements as needed.
• Maintain and update lists of trailers and DOT test dates; coordinate testing to ensure vehicle availability for customer requirements.
• Input fuel surcharges and additional charges for acid loads into the system; manage related invoicing details.
• Attend company and industry meetings; support operations across locations; participate in on-call rotation.

The Dispatcher position coordinates the drivers, equipment, and routes for the most efficient and productive use of equipment and driver time. This position monitors the number of loads assigned to each of the Dispatcher’s designated drivers to provide an equitable distribution of work. The Dispatcher maintains continual communication with customers regarding current orders and anticipates future requirements.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPosition may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below.
