Job summary

First Student in Stamford, CT is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily bus operations, support drivers and monitors, and help keep service running on time for Stamford Public Schools.

You will manage bus assignments, route schedules, and high-volume communications, while ensuring safe, on-time service and timely problem resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of relevant dispatch experience.
• Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency and accurate recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to prioritize requests and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Ability to work effectively with drivers, monitors, school contacts, and location leadership.
• Dependability and availability to work both portions of the Monday-Friday split shift.

Location: 124 Selleck Street, Stamford, CT 06902
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, split shift: 6:00-10:30 a.m. and 12:30-4:00 p.m.
Serving: Stamford Public Schools

First Student is seeking a Dispatcher to support safe, dependable transportation for Stamford Public Schools. You'll coordinate daily bus operations, support drivers and monitors, and help keep service running on time.
