Job summary

Acme Truck Line Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a dispatcher to join our logistics team. You will answer phones, monitor emails, and keep the dispatch board current while efficiently routing shipments.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone.
• Monitor emails and respond in a timely manner.
• Keep the dispatch/load board up to date.
• Price shipments.
• Obtain all information necessary to dispatch the proper truck(s) to the correct pickup and delivery points, as well as all information necessary for the proper rating and invoicing of the shipment.
• Dispatch trucks and maintain control of each shipment until it reaches its destination.
• Immediately report any incident or accident to Terminal Manager.
• Report customer complaints or lost business to Terminal Manager.
• Coordinate all activity with the next dispatcher shift each evening and each morning.

• Keep the dispatch/load board up to date
• Price Shipments
• Obtain all information necessary to dispatch the proper truck(s) to the correct pickup and delivery points, as well as all information necessary for the proper rating and invoicing of the shipment.
• Dispatch trucks and maintain control of each shipment until it reaches its destination

• Report customer complaints or lost business to Terminal Manager
• Coordinate all activity with the next dispatcher shift each evening and each morning.
