Dispatcher Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all routes and bus scheduling
2. Counsel and coach drivers and monitors
3. Handle heavy phone and radio traffic
4. Manage scheduling and driver complaints, reporting to the Operations Supervisor/Contract Manager
5. Serve as the primary communication liaison with major contracted customers
6. Handle charter reservations, billing, or driver payroll as needed
7. Provide solutions to drop-off and pick-up issues
8. Perform back-up driver duties or miscellaneous clerical tasks
9. Complete special projects and assist with daily operations supervision

Experience and Skills Required:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
• Previous terminal operations, dispatch, or driver experience
• Computer literacy
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical requirements
