Job summary

Colonial Group in the United States seeks an Airport Dispatcher to distribute air traffic information to pilots and ground handlers, relay updates, and maintain flight logs. The role requires coordinating with airline operations and ground handlers, and assisting with passenger services as needed.

You will also arrange accommodations during delays, support gate planning, and ensure weight and balance recommendations comply with airline requirements, while meeting attendance standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Airport Dispatch experience preferred.
• Must possess/maintain a valid state driver's license and FAA/airport identifications.
• Must pass SIDA airport and training tests.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodations.

Essential Functions of the Dispatcher:

• Distribute incoming air traffic information to pilots/ground handlers.
• Follow up with update information as received. Communicate flight release and fuel load information to appropriate operations.
• Maintain lines of communication with line operations and air carriers using two-way radios.
• Coordinate operations with the airline and ground handlers.
• Maintain flight logs and update flight schedules.
• Coordinate with departments in billing for services rendered and compile information for each flight and submit for final bill preparation.
• Make arrangements for accommodation when flight delays occur. Handle phone traffic.
• Assist in the planning and control of the gate assignment.
• Assist with passenger services as required.
• Recommend weight and balance preparation in accordance with airline requirements.
• Can meet the Station's attendance standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Airport Dispatch experience preferred
• Possess/maintain a valid state driver's license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations
• Must be able to pass SIDA airport and training tests
• Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Possess basic computer literacy
