Salary: $18.34/hour
Provides technical and professional expertise in operating hospital telecommunication equipment such as multi-line telephone sets, computers, radios, cell phones, pagers, fax machines, and printers. Responsible for answering, responding to, and transferring calls, including emergency requests from hospital staff, with accuracy, timeliness, and customer focus. Exercises sound judgment in handling emergency calls and maintains logs and records. Works alongside Campus Support & Safety Control staff to maintain area access and security. Primary duties involve sedentary tasks such as answering phones, operating radios, monitoring video, inputting data, and maintaining logs in a controlled indoor environment.
Knowledge of hospital communication systems, emergency response procedures, data entry, and record keeping. Skills in operating telecommunications equipment, typing, and basic office tools. Ability to evaluate situations, exercise judgment, communicate clearly, provide excellent customer service, maintain logs, perform basic calculations, and work cooperatively with staff and the public. Must maintain reliable attendance and support a diverse workforce.
High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of customer service experience with multi-line phones, computers, and technology.
Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and High School diploma or equivalent.
