Job summary

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii in Honolulu, HI seeks a Dispatcher to join Hawaii's largest locally owned waste hauling company. You will handle service orders, direct drivers, track routes, and communicate via two-way radio while maintaining logs and paperwork.

This temp-to-hire role requires a high school diploma or GED, with prior dispatching or logistics experience preferred and a valid driver's license preferred. Full-time, Monday–Friday, hours TBD based on operations.

Responsibilities

• Handle service orders and direct drivers throughout the day
• Track routes and monitor driver progress
• Communicate via two-way radio with drivers in the field

• Debrief drivers at the end of routes
• Coordinate with management on day-to-day operational needs
• Assist drivers with on-route issues quickly and effectively

Position Requirements

• Hard skills: Ability to operate two-way radio communication; basic computer proficiency and data entry skills; ability to maintain accurate daily logs and paperwork; valid driver's license preferred
• Soft skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; calm and clear communicator under pressure; highly organized and detail-oriented; strong problem solving ability; reliable and punctual; team player who works closely with management
