Johnson / Madison - Western Building Center in Great Falls is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Dispatcher/Scheduler to join our team. This full-time position plays a vital role in coordinating deliveries, communicating with customers and staff, and ensuring materials are delivered safely and on time. The Dispatcher/Scheduler is responsible for coordinating daily deliveries, assigning drivers and equipment, communicating with customers, and working closely with the Store Manager, Yard Foreman, and Sales Team to ensure efficient and accurate delivery scheduling. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.

Schedule and coordinate daily deliveries to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with the Store Manager, Yard Foreman, and Sales Team to prioritize deliveries and meet customer needs.
Receive delivery requests and accurately schedule drivers, trucks, and equipment.
Ensure delivery paperwork is complete and accurate before dispatch.
Monitor driver progress and adjust schedules as needed throughout the day.
Communicate delivery updates with customers, drivers, and store personnel.
Plan delivery routes to improve efficiency while minimizing travel time and costs.
Coordinate vehicle availability and report maintenance concerns when needed.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, drivers, and fellow employees.
Assist in resolving delivery issues and finding timely solutions.
Follow and promote all company safety policies and procedures.
Attend required safety meetings and training.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and other business software.
Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing schedules.
Knowledge of the Great Falls area and surrounding delivery routes is preferred.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous dispatching, scheduling, logistics, transportation, customer service, or related experience preferred.
Computer proficiency.
Ability to work effectively with customers, drivers, sales staff, and management.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
